Key information

About this event

Client: Kingfisher Group
Industry: Retail
Project Scope: 123 Brico Depot sites in France
Services Provided: Wi-Fi Survey, Remediation Report, and AutoCAD Design
Timeline: 3 months

Background:

Kingfisher Group, a prominent European home improvement retailer, sought to enhance Wi-Fi coverage across its Brico Depot sites in France, particularly with the growing need to support their dedicated outdoor pick-up points. Reliable Wi-Fi is vital for streamlining logistics, enabling real-time inventory management, and improving the customer experience. Kingfisher tasked Dynamic Technologies Europe (DTE) with evaluating the existing WLAN infrastructure to ensure both indoor and outdoor areas met these high standards.

Objectives:

  1. Conduct comprehensive Wi-Fi surveys across all 123 Brico Depot sites to assess current WLAN performance.
  2. Ensure adequate network coverage and reliability for dedicated outdoor pick-up points.
  3. Assess and improve indoor Wi-Fi infrastructure to support business operations seamlessly.
  4. Develop detailed remediation designs in AutoCAD to address identified issues.
  5. Provide an easily accessible portal for Kingfisher to track project progress and review findings for each site.

Approach:

DTE’s team of specialists began with on-site Wi-Fi surveys to analyse each location’s current network conditions. Through detailed assessments, DTE identified coverage gaps and connectivity issues affecting both the indoor and outdoor areas. The team designed site-specific remediation plans for each Brico Depot, incorporating AutoCAD drawings for precise implementations.

To streamline communication and transparency, DTE established a dedicated, secure customer portal. This portal allowed Kingfisher’s project stakeholders to monitor real-time progress, access findings, and review AutoCAD designs, enhancing collaboration and decision-making.

Outcome:

DTE successfully completed all 123 sites within the designated three-month timeline. Kingfisher Group now benefits from robust WLAN coverage that supports outdoor pick-up areas and meets the demands of indoor operations, improving both customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. The project concluded on schedule, with all designs and recommendations documented and shared with Kingfisher through the secure portal, ensuring ongoing accessibility and support for future reference.

Why DTE?

Dynamic Technologies Europe’s expertise in large-scale WLAN assessments, remediation planning, and secure client engagement through dedicated portals allowed Kingfisher Group to achieve its Wi-Fi infrastructure goals across Brico Depot locations, establishing a reliable and scalable solution for their growing operational needs.
