The client was a modern food retail outlet operating within a historic London location. The site required reliable wireless connectivity and CCTV infrastructure to support day-to-day operations, including digital systems, security, and in-store technology.

As a food outlet, the environment contained multiple commercial fridges and freezers, creating a highly complex RF environment due to metal enclosures, temperature-controlled units, and constant electrical interference. This significantly increased the importance of careful wireless design, access point placement, and structured cabling quality.

The client required a robust, resilient network capable of operating reliably in a demanding retail environment, while still complying fully with historic site restrictions.

Project Overview

DTE was commissioned to deliver a complete end-to-end network infrastructure solution, including wireless access points (WAPs) and CCTV cabling, at a challenging historic site located beneath railway arches in London.

The scope of works covered the full project lifecycle from initial site survey and network design through to structured cabling, device installation, testing, and final commissioning. All works were required to meet strict heritage preservation guidelines, ensuring no impact to the historic structure.
