The Challenge
John Radcliffe Hospital required a lighting upgrade within its busy main entrance to improve illumination, reduce energy consumption and lower ongoing maintenance requirements.
With luminaires positioned approximately 10 metres above floor level, the solution needed to provide reliable, efficient lighting suitable for a demanding healthcare environment.
Key requirements included:

The Solution
The existing lighting was replaced with an energy-efficient LED lighting solution designed to improve performance while reducing operating and maintenance costs.
A total of 252 LED downlights were installed throughout the entrance, providing improved illumination and emergency lighting functionality.
