The Challenge
AiFi faced a critical challenge when a contractor fell short on delivering a key installation. They needed 52 cameras installed in a food store at the Co-op Live Arena in Manchester, and the deadline was non-negotiable: the installation had to be complete before a major concert. Speed, precision, and adherence to safety standards were essential.
The Solution
We stepped in to ensure the project stayed on track. Our team first reviewed AiFi’s camera layout plans and cabling diagrams, while also considering all on-site safety requirements. We then mobilized a skilled team to Manchester, where the installation took place over two intensive out-of-hours days.
Key technical challenges included:
- Installing cameras into a 3.4m high suspended ceiling with 600x600mm mesh tiles.
- Designing a solution for pole-mounting 6 cameras where bulkhead obstructions prevented standard ceiling installation.
Our team handled both challenges efficiently, ensuring the cameras were securely installed and fully operational.
The Results
Thanks to meticulous planning and expert execution, the camera installation was completed on time, allowing the store to open seamlessly to concertgoers.
