Warehousing
Client background
Expert Warenvertrieb GmbH is Germany’s second-largest electronics reseller, operating 500 specialist stores alongside a significant e-commerce business.
To support growing customer demand, expert developed a highly automated fulfilment centre in Langenhagen, near Hannover. The facility relies heavily on automation to store, pick, transport and dispatch thousands of consumer electronics and household products every day.
With wireless connectivity underpinning these operations, expert needed a warehouse WiFi network capable of providing reliable, measurable and secure connectivity throughout the facility.
The challenge
Warehouse environments present some of the most demanding conditions for wireless networks.
Expert’s 13,000m² fulfilment centre features towering 17-metre-high racking, automated shuttle robots, smart conveyor systems and WiFi-enabled forklifts, all operating within a constantly changing RF environment. The facility handles up to 35,000 orders per day, making reliable connectivity critical to maintaining operational performance.
The business had previously used three different WiFi solutions across its offices and warehouses but experienced recurring coverage problems, particularly for forklift operators. Troubleshooting was also difficult because the IT team lacked the visibility needed to accurately measure network performance and identify the root cause of connectivity issues.
With a Juniper AI-native network, I don’t grow grey hairs managing the network. It just works.

The solution
To address these challenges, expert deployed the HPE Juniper Networking AI-native networking platform, creating a high-performance wireless infrastructure designed specifically for the demands of its automated fulfilment centre.
The wireless network was carefully designed, surveyed and implemented to provide reliable coverage and connectivity throughout the facility, supporting both automated warehouse technology and day-to-day operations.
The solution included:
🔹 HPE Juniper Networking wireless access points
🔹 Juniper AP43 WiFi 6 access points
🔹 Juniper Wi-Fi Assurance
🔹 Juniper Mist Edge
🔹 Marvis AI Assistant
🔹 AI-powered monitoring and troubleshooting
🔹 Real-time visibility into wireless network performance
The result
The deployment delivered:
🔹 13,000m² of warehouse WiFi coverage
🔹 Reliable connectivity for robots and automated systems
🔹 Seamless connectivity for WiFi-enabled forklifts
🔹 Support for industrial scales and specialist warehouse devices
🔹 Capacity to support up to 35,000 orders per day
🔹 Greater visibility into wireless network performance
🔹 Faster identification and resolution of connectivity problems
🔹 Secure connectivity for warehouse and office users
🔹 Zero WiFi problems reported during the first year of operation
