What does your role at DTE involve?
As Project Manager at DTE, I oversee the planning and delivery of projects across the Professional Services department, ensuring each wireless project is delivered efficiently, safely and to the highest standard. My role includes coordinating internal teams, managing project timelines, communicating with clients, and supporting projects from initial scope through to completion and handover.
I work closely with engineers, contractors, and customers to ensure projects run smoothly while maintaining strong relationships and clear communication throughout every stage of delivery.”
What experience and technical expertise do you bring to the role?
My background is primarily in wireless networking and connectivity, with experience in Wi-Fi surveying, network design, and technical project delivery across a range of environments. Before moving into project management, I worked as a Wireless Engineer at DTE, carrying out wireless surveys and designing network solutions using tools such as Ekahau Pro, AutoCAD, and Revit.
I have also worked in technical design and estimating roles, supporting structured cabling, DAS, and 5G projects through pricing, technical planning, design support, and customer engagement.
Alongside my practical experience, I hold several industry accreditations, including:
- Ekahau ECSE (Basic, Advanced and Troubleshooting)
- Autodesk Revit MEP
- CNCI in Copper and Fibre
- SSSTS Site Safety
- Various supplier and manufacturer accreditations
How has your previous experience helped shape your approach to project management?
In 2024, I also served as a Police Constable with Thames Valley Police, working within an Incident and Response team. That experience strengthened my communication, organisation and decision-making skills while operating in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
Combining that experience with my technical background allows me to take a practical and solutions-focused approach to project management. At DTE, I aim to deliver high-quality outcomes while building strong relationships with clients, contractors and internal teams to ensure projects are completed successfully and efficiently.
