The Challenge
A vehicle integrity scanning system was being deployed at a remote gatehouse to capture and analyse images of trucks entering and leaving the site.
The system incorporated pole-mounted cameras, dedicated LED lighting and an onsite image-processing server. However, suitable internet connectivity was not available at the gatehouse.
A solution was required that could be deployed quickly, without waiting for new broadband or leased-line infrastructure, while integrating with the existing scanning equipment.
Key requirements included:

The Solution
The installation incorporated four pole-mounted scanning points positioned across the site’s check-in and check-out lanes.
Each pole featured three cameras alongside dedicated LED lighting, providing consistent illumination and multiple viewing angles as vehicles passed through the scanning area.
The electrical installation and supporting data cabling infrastructure provided the foundation for connecting the cameras, lighting, onsite server and network equipment.
The wider system incorporated:

🔹 Dedicated LED lighting to provide consistent illumination for vehicle image capture
🔹 2 scanning points on the check-in lane
🔹 2 scanning points on the check-out lane
🔹 Onsite image-processing server
As trucks passed through the gatehouse, multiple images were captured from different positions and transferred to the onsite server for analysis, helping identify potential changes or damage to vehicles.
The Result
The completed installation provided an integrated vehicle integrity scanning system capable of capturing and processing vehicle imagery across both entry and exit lanes.
