The Challenge
The client needed to upgrade more than 3,000 access points across eight warehouse facilities in the UK and Germany. With sites operating 24/7, downtime had to be minimised while completing the project within a tight five-week window over the peak Christmas period.
The Solution
DTE surveyed each facility to verify AP locations against supplied floorplans before checking, labelling and preparing every replacement AP.
Working closely with the client, installations were scheduled around planned shutdowns, with particular attention given to business-critical areas such as robotics floors.
🔹 IPAF-certified engineers completed AP replacements at a rate of approximately one every 20 minutes
🔹 Work was completed at varying heights using ladders and MEWPs
🔹 Each installation was photographed for verification
🔹 RAMS were developed alongside the client’s health and safety team
🔹 Detailed scheduling minimised disruption to warehouse operations
